Bradenton, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Maverna Theresa Turay, a 52-year-old Bradenton, Florida woman has been arrested and charged after she allegedly poured scalding hot water on her husband's groin.
Manatee County authorities arrested Turay on Wednesday for aggravated battery with great bodily harm in connection with the incident.
Investigators say Turay boiled hot water and used it to burn her husband groin while he slept. The man reportedly awoke and ran out of the house screaming, while Maverna's 16-year-old daughter called 911.
Turay admitted to Manatee County Sheriff's deputies that she inflicted the injuries around 1:30 a.m., according to the Sheriff's Office report.
When questioned as to why she burned her husband's groin, Turay allegedly told deputies that she had been drinking shortly before the incident. She said she attacked him because she believed he had been cheating on her and he hadn't come home the night before, according to the Sheriff's Office report.
The victim was flown to Tampa General Hospital and admitted to it's burn unit. Doctors say the man is in stable condition but received 2nd-degree burns in the incident.
Turay was booked into the Manatee County Jail where she is currently being held on a $7,500 bond.

It's funny that you give her a you go girl, but I bet if the roles would be reversed the man would be wrong because he committed violence against a female. Domestic violence is wrong regardless of the gender, its funny to me how its No violence is acceptable changes to violence against women is wrong but violence against men is ok. If the man thought she was cheating would he be justified in doing the same to her???? Hell no, just as she is as wrong to do it to him.

"You go girl" is such a typical woman's response to this kind of story. But you'd NEVER hear men celebrating a man pouring boiling water over his wife.
What kind of idiot would give a "good for her!" response to someone who dumps boiling water on another human being?
And what kind of idiot would put a play on words in the title of the story?
Interesting that this wasn't treated as Domestic Violence. I think this is a good example of why DV statistics are so ripe for suspicion. And yet another example to show how flawed the feminist model of DV is discriminatory. Here is a clear case of DV, and yet because it is a woman, she is not charged as such. Time to change the Violence Against Women Act, to Violence Against Intimate Partner Ace because this sort of injustice is just lunacy.
Isn't she guilty of rape? Didn't she mutilate his sexual organs? But I guess it doesn't matter because he's just a man; we don't need a million dollar bond just because he's been victimized.

She told officers that she THOUGHT he was cheating because he stayed out all night.
So does that mean a guy can pound a woman's face everytime he suspects that she might be cheating?

There is a possibility that the man might have been uncooperative, not wanting to press charges... which might have forced authorities to go with the aggravated battery charge instead of a domestiv violence charge. It really depends on what the exact laws in that state require for a DM voilence case. If anyone can clarify, feel free to share

Now we must remember, this "poor" woman had to use boiling water because she could not afford a Mercedes to run him over accidently three times with.
I do contend that if her husband poured boiling water on her groin, he would be facing charges for aggravated sexual assault too and it would be called domestic violence. Remember however that we have a national law a crime to be violent to WOMEN. (VAWA) This only highlights the need to FIX THE VAWA as there were no men's shelters for this man to go to....no victim advocates to advise him.
Oh… Jesus said...I as an ordained pastor, I would suggest you find out what Jesus actually did say.....something like VENGENCE IS MINE SAID THE LORD!) If you spouse is cheating on you, they have divorce courts although these are stacked in the women's favor too.
BTW....because of the VAWA a woman does not have to press charges for domestic abuse. The state will do it for HER but many states will NOT charge a woman for domestic violence even if the man does press charges. As the director of Shattered Men, I have had men who have been abused who have been arrested for being abused even though they never hit back.
This man may have stayed out all night because he was afraid of her. I doubt that this was the first time she has been abusive.
By her appearance it would be no wonder that he cheated if he did. She is as ugly as they get. This is female domestic violence. Let them hold her until trial, convict her of assault, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence and resisting arrest and then sentence her ugly, fat female ass to at least 10 years in prison. Always the feminists are very fugly chicks. There doesn't exist an attractive feminist since talented, attractive women have other options than complaining in some irrational, histrionic method that is both erratic and illogical.

Nothing will happen to her in the the wonderful "gyno-centric" criminal courts system- it is a "woman's world" after all.
That being said- if she were my spouse, upon her return to our home I would tie her down & then return the "favor"- SHE OBVIOUSLY NEEDS AN EDUCATION.
