Jackson, Mississippi (The Weekly Vice) -- Sheral Lee Smith, a 37-year-old former teacher at New Summit School in Jackson, Mississippi has been arrested and charged with statutory rape and drug charges involving a 14 year old student.
Smith was arrested last Wednesday on allegations that she had sexual contact with a 14-year-old student who attended the school where she taught. Police say however that Smith was not the student's teacher.
Investigators believe the alleged sexual abuse occurred a few weeks ago at Smith's Rankin County Home and continued over the course of a couple of months. Authorities also believe Smith gave the boy a pill, according to Ronnie Pennington of the Rankin County Sheriff's department.
"Their relationship began before she started teaching," said Pennington.
Smith has disputed the allegations, telling a local newspaper:
"My husband coached [the student] in soccer. He has been in our home many times," said Smith, adding that the allegations began as a rumor started by a 16-year-old student from the same school.
New Summit School officials said that Smith was suspended after her arrest and has since been dismissed from her employment with the school. She had worked at the school for just three weeks.
Smith was booked into jail on charges of statutory rape and transfer of a controlled substance. She was released after posting a $50,000 bond.

Well I see accusations, and an arrest, but an arrest is not a conviction. It's not like the police haven't made false arrests before. The news media likes sensationalism and police often trip over their egos. Let's review the evidence and see how this pans out. - knowhereman
This could be many things. 1) It actually happened. 2) The boy is making it up to "show off" to his buddies. 3) Another student who is jealous of the frienship between the teacher & the boy started a rumor. They need to get to the botom of this right away & punish the person. Either the teacher or if the student made it up. A little "rumor" may have possibly ruined that womans life. An arrest is not a conviction on paper but is in the minds of the public.
I was nailing 2 of my teachers in 9th grade. When they found out about each other the three of us had huge altercation in the parking lot. I was more adult than either of these horny 25 and 31 year old bitches. I continued banging both and lying to both for a year and a half, till I met a hot law profeesor in 10th grade.

Apparently by looking at the picture posted on the right,she was at one time an attractive woman. Even considering her age at 37,she looks like one of those 30 something ex-party girl bar hags. The look that portrays a woman that has spent many a night boozing and coking out.
To Anonymous,you just wish you looked as good at 37! She has never been a bar hag,never done coke or any other drugs, NEVER. Family has always come first, cooking out is more like it.
