Ventura, California (The Weekly Vice) -- Shawn Barth, a 46-year-old Moorpark, California man was charged Wednesday with multiple sex crimes after police say he held a 13 year girl as a sex slave for months.
Barth held a 13-year-old girl prisoner in a Moorpark motor home, sexually assaulting her on a daily basis for months, according to Det. Eric Buschow for the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.
"She was a psychological prisoner," said Buschow.
Police say Barth allowed the girl to attend school, but kept the girl isolated in a motor home that had been parked in a remote orchard more than a mile from the nearest road. He also allegedly threatened to hurt the girl if she told anyone.
Although authorities have not identified the victim, investigators have learned that she is the daughter of a woman Barth had dated in the past. Barth allegedly told investigators that he is now the teen girl's guardian, although the mother reportedly filed a restraining order against him. Police say the girl's mother is cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
Police first became aware of the situation when Moonpark school officials requested that the girl's records be transferred from a school in San Bernardino County and became alarmed at information they found.
Barth was arraigned on Wednesday in Ventura County Superior Court on charges of felony child rape, continuous sexual abuse and oral copulation on a child. He was ordered held on a $1 million dollar bond and is expected back in court on October 2.

Gah!! Gonna go to church and pray for forgiveness for even having that thought enter my mind.
But, and yes, it is a but, it goes to show that sick individuals don't have to LOOK like sick individuals.
I am sure this another case where we the law abiding citizens will have to rely on "Prison Justice" to help him pay his dues to society.
