Palm Beach, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Luis Justo Serrano, a 37-year-old West Palm Beach, Florida man has been arrested on accusations that he operated a large cockfighting farm that was used to breed and train approximately 90 roosters for the illegal sport.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies searched Serrano's property August 29 to find a large scale cockfighting operation that authorities say involved approximately 90 birds.
Sheriff's deputies found 31 caged roosters on Serrano's property that were groomed in a manner consistent with preparing the birds for cockfighting, said a spokesperson for the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office. Investigators also found Hens, chicks and juvenile roosters who were found in cages or incubators.
Authorities allegedly found a circular cockfighting arena that investigators believe was used by Serrano to host rooster fights and train birds for future fights. Deputies also found other materials commonly used to prepare birds for cockfighting such as performance enhancing drugs, injection records, syringes and vials of antibiotics.
Serrano was arrested at the completion of the investigation and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on a $6,000 bond.
He has been charged with selling and possessing animals to fight and possession of equipment for animal fighting.

Whats the big deal we kill millions of chickens a year . So what if its entertainment for some people . To each there own. could the focus be shifted to some more real crimes .like getting killers and child predators off the streets. we should have a fight ring with molesters and murderers. Now that would be fun familt entertainment
They are grown on Black Panther farms in Georgia. These were white farms but after Patty Hurst was captured the Panthers rose up and took over all the onion farms.
