St. Louis, Missouri (The Weekly Vice) -- Erika Wherry, a 28 year old woman from St. Louis, Missouri has been arrested and charged with manslaughter after she allegedly shot her 18 year old niece while arguing over a bag of fast food.
Prosecutors say 18-year-old Decora Jenkins was fatally wounded Monday at a home she shared with her aunt, Erika Wherry.
Investigators say Wherry began to argue with Jenkins' boyfriend over a bag of fast food, when the shooting took place. Police say the two began to wrestling over the food when Wherry picked up a gun and fired it at Jenkins boyfriend. Instead of hitting the boyfriend however, the shot struck her Jenkins, who was standing behind her boyfriend.
"It's very heartbreaking," said neighbor La Joy Andrews. "All this came about over a hamburger. It's a terrible situation."
Wherry was arrested on Monday and charged with involuntary manslaughter.

LOL what a fatty... well let me just say those st. louis people really love their fast food.
so i find it hard to believe that the shooting was over fast food. maybe that was an argument that occured. but i doubt that the argument was over that...
I would like to contact the resturant that sold the burger for an ad campagin. "A burger worth killing for!"- or-
"You'll just die for our burgers!"-or-

LOL! Spot on! This company can make a "killing" off of this article!
I'ts nothing to laugh about. It's very sad.
Actually The argument was not over a burger. Decora's Ex- boyfriend had arranged an outing with Decora that day. Unfortunately he arrived along with another woman claiming to be the mother of his child. Decora was mildly affected by this, but it was nothing compared to Erika's reaction. They continued with their original plans, only Erika felt that she should accompany the party. The ex-boyfriend began to display "pimp-like" behavior.Expressing how he could have his "Babies Mother", and his girl spending time together. This did not effect Decora,"I really dont care" she stated. All the time Erika is furious. Imagine how you would feel listening to another speak of how badly they can treat your child. With no reprecusions to follow. So later that night they were going to purchase some food and the ex refuse to get, neither Erika nor Decora a meal. By that time Erika had had enough. She obtained the food from the ex, demanded that he leave, and proceeded to enter her home. As she was closing the door, the ex wedged his body in the doorway preventing her from securing her home. He pushed his way in (because Erika had taken his food as well, she had taken all of the food, stating that if her daughter wasn't going to eat nobody was eating)Erika headed toward her bedroom, with the ex following her screaming obsinities(one of many was that he would ---- her up if she didn't give him his food). Erika did not intend to fire the weapon, she actually thought it was on safety.
Can we get a citation on the above?
I don't see why she's only being charged with manslaughter. She pointed the gun at someone, pulled the trigger and missed-- pulling the trigger was attempted murder. The fact that she missed is tragic, but also incidental.
