Pasadena, Texas (The Weekly Vice) Dannette R. Gillespie, a 38-year-old Texas mother and her two teenage daughters have been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 75-year-old man to death for a mere $15.
According to investigators, Dannette Gillespie provided knives to her 19-year-old daughter Vanessa Anne Ocampo and her 15-year-old daughter. She then instructed them rob 75-year-old Eugene Palma while she waited for them in a car outside his home.
Harris County authorities say Gillespie and her two daughters were on the lookout for someone to rob Wednesday, September 3, when they ended up at a bar that was owned by Palma. Police say when Palma left the establishment in his Cadillac convertible, the three women followed him to his home.
Vanessa Ocampo told investigators that her mother handed them the knives and instructed them to rob the elderly man. That's when the teenage girls exited the car and confronted Palma in his garage. Police say the man endured several stab wounds and died face down in his drive way.
The days take for this murder? After stabbing the man multiple times, the girls searched his pockets and vehicle and were only able to find $15. The teens took the money and returned to their mother's car.
Investigators were able to track down the killers by a palm print that was left on Palma's vehicle. Police were arrested in Houston while Vanessa Ocampo was arrested in San Antonio. Police say all three suspects were in police custody by 2 p.m. Friday. Gillespie was reportedly on probation for a drug possession charge when the murder occurred.
Police also say that none of the suspects knew Palma, however Gillespie lived within a mile of Palma's residence.
Gillespie, Ocampo and the and Gillespie's 15-year-year old daughter were each charged with capital murder and are currently being held without bail.

Thats sad the value of a human life. most criminals don't realize people that work and have something to live for would give you everything they have just to leave them the hell alone. who can put a price tag on your life. i hope these heffers get the chair

First let me say: Ocampo was not the daughter of Gillespie. I am sorry for the loss and the pain the family must go through. But people make mistakes. The so Called "Daughter" could of lied and blamed it on the mother. The 15 year old is young. She deserves a second chance and so does the mother. What about the family of the 15 yr old and mother. They are in pain too.
vanessa was not gillespies daughter. i knew them personally. no the 15 yr old didnt lie, dannette handed out knives. she had a collection of pocket knives. and she waited in the car for them but they were on drugs. so your right they should be in rehab. not prison the rest of their lives. the 15 yr old is gillespies daughter, vanessa was a friend.
