Palm Bay, Florida (The Weekly Vice) -- Alan Michael Tanguay, a 16 year old Palm Bay teen has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder after killing an innocent woman and then robbing her of $6 in beer money.
Tanguay, who self-described himself as a "psychotic killer" confessed Monday morning to killing 58-year-old Patricia Kaliszeski, after police arrested him at his Vin Rose home in Palm Bay early Monday morning.
Investigators say Kaliszeski's body was found by her ex-husband who found her in the bedroom of her home, faced down in a pool of blood.
Police began to unravel the strange death after witnesses came forward to report what Tanguay had been telling them about the murder.
"What he did was quite disturbing," said Yvonne Martinez of the Palm Bay Police Dept. "We had two witnesses who came forward after the victim was found. Apparently he had been telling people he killed somebody and robbed her of six dollars."
Investigators say Tanguay broke into the home and found Kaliszeski sitting on her bed. He then found a knife inside the home and proceeded to stab and slash the woman's neck.
"He stabbed her multiple times and across the neck to the point where he nearly severed her head," said Martinez.
The Teen then took the money and bought beer, according to police.
Kaliszeski's ex-husband, Steven Spina, lamented the horrific death, stating "She had a heart of gold. She never did nothing to no one." He added that Kaliszeski was part of his extended family, even working alongside his girlfriend in the Palm Bay Academy cafeteria.
One witness told police that Tanguay had bragged about killing someone else in the past, stating "he said he has a rule. If he finds someone in the house during a burglary, he has to kill them."
Authorities have reportedly detained Tanguay in the Juvenile Detention Center in Sharpes, but may charge him as an adult where he would be transferred to an adult facility.

Before Tanguay's MySpace profile was set to private, it was filled with the vile, sick and twisted kind of garbage that makes his involvement in this tragedy unsurprising.
It's too bad that this worm wasn't stepped on by a 2000 pound elephant long before an innocent person had to lose her life. The Weekly Vice extends it's deepest sympathies to Patricia's family. May she rest in peace and justice prevail.
And to the authorities in the matter - charging this troll as an adult is the very LEAST he deserves. He should never see the light of day again.

This boy appears to be unable to feel remorse. so jailing him for the rest of his life just isnt going to work. in cases like this the death penalty should be enforced. this kid is a sociopath. hes only 16 and has already taken it to the level of killing. there isnt much more or a leap... except to kill more and in larger numbers.
This boy is ridiculous to put a number this womans life. my heart goes out to her family.

Where are this kids parents? Maybe if they had been paying attention to him they would have seen the warning signs and gotten him the help he needed. Now he has no options. This boy's parents should be tried as accessories to murder and if their son gets the death penalty (which he should) they should be tried for murder themselves...
I think the death penalty can be too kind and actually quite merciful. I really do. I know most will disagree. We're all going to croak at some point and lethal injection is a much too peaceful way to go. Much less painful than cancer etc. Having said that. It's clear that this POS is an excellent candidate to be tried as an adult. Try him as an adult,and confine him for the rest of his life in a supermax prison facility. He'll be alone in his cell. No interaction with others (with the exception of prison personell which will be limited and he'll always be chained/strapped/cuffed),and anytime spent for recreation is spent alone within the prison. Granted,it's a shame money must be spent to confine him but that's exactly why the prison system was created. Some people (and I use the word people reluctantly) need to be confined from the populace (even from other prisoners) for the duration of their lives. This POS qualifies and it's money well spent. Let him rot and waste away alone confined and in captivity.
This likely is the same situation as the boy tha his mother allowed to put make up and go to the school.

Regardless of this scumbag's upbringing (or lack thereof), the sad fact (besides his killing of an innocent woman) is that I (and any other tax paying citizen of Florida) is going to have to foot the bill for this scumbags incarceration. I think trash like this just needs to be shot on site. Forget jail, forget a trial, and most importantly; forget about prison. That's one of the problems with this country, in that we keep loading and overloading prisons with scumbags like this that are nothing more than financial burdens to our society.

I knew Alan and went to school with him through Elementary and some High School. He was a good kid deep down but had a rough upbringing. I hope he can get some help.
I'm so completly surprised at this. I went to ninth grade at bayside high with him and he was always so nice. I never would have imagined him capable of this. Alan has been my semi close friend, and I am truley shocked.
I knew Alan when we were younger. He did have a horrible child hood and was consistenly being told he was less than nothing by his own Mother! She treated her children like they were an inconvenience to her and lower than life. Everything was always about HER. Her own relatives knew of the extreme abuse she subjected both of her sons to but did NOTHING! Alan was heard saying he hated his life with his Mother. All the years of pent up agressions and anger finally exploded the night this poor lady was killed. I really hope they get all the facts of this boy's life before the trial. What Patty's family has suffered is horrifying and my heart goes out to them. I don't understand how Alan's Mom can live with her self knowing that she is the root cause of Alan's down fall and the end of his young life. May God forgive Alan and bless the Family of Patty.

not only is he my family.
if anyone wants to see what this kid did not only to patty but her family go to mem.com and search for patty kaliszeski. you will see a wonderful slide show of pictures of her life with her friends and family. she has a twin brother who was the president of BCC. i know he is devastated. too bad this pos did not take his anger out on his mom so he could have ruined his own family.

I would like to get the screen prints of his MySpace pages to use in the upcoming follow up post on Alan Michael Tanguay.
Also any other information you would like to share, I could use for the post. I would like to know more about him, his childhood and home life to post and try to figure out what when wrong and why he would do something like this at such a young age.
