Muncie, Indiana (The Weekly Vice) -- Zachariah White, a 21 year old Muncie, Indiana man has been arrested and charged with felony animal cruelty, possession of marijuana and public intoxication after police say he abused a cat in a fit of anger after his girlfriend broke off their relationship.
According to investigators, a woman contacted police from a gas station phone booth around 1:00 Wednesday, complaining that her boyfriend had abused the cat during an argument she and her boyfriend were having.
The woman told officers that her intoxicated boyfriend became enraged and began punching walls when she told him that she was leaving him. The woman went on to say that she asked her boyfriend if he thought he was Muhammad Ali, to which he allegedly replied "no I'm Zach White, the tight end for the Winchester Golden Falcons."
The woman told police that White then picked up the kitten and punted it across the room, striking a ceiling fan. The kitten then fell to the ground, seemingly in great pain and unable to walk.
Police took the kitten and the woman to an animal control officer who performed several tests and concluded that the animal's back had likely been broken in the impact.
"We found the animal foaming at the mouth, possibly broken back, crushed ribs, pretty much almost dead," said Ron White with Muncie Animal Care and Control. "We don't like to see animals suffer, so we euthanized the animal. No animal should have to live in cruelty."
Ron White went on to add, "If you're abusing an animal, there is a chance later on you are going to be abusing other things."
Authorities located White at the apartment and arrested him. While at the apartment, authorities also recovered an undisclosed amount of marijuana from White's possession and performed a blood alcohol test, which resulted in a 0.089 BAC.
White has been charged with felony animal cruelty, possession of marijuana and public intoxication.

What a wimp. I hope the POS does some time in Pendleton or Michigan City for the dope possession. The men in prison will have an opportunity to experience his "tight end" firsthand & in person. Probably the only time this hillbilly will have experienced a formidable opponent (fair fight).I think it's reasonable to conclude that he would do this to a child. Moreover, he looks like a cocky white trash skin head from Winchester or Muncie Indiana. White trash always invariably terrorize those much,much more vulnerable--human and animal.Just an fyi,he looks very familiar to a guy in Muncie that I overheard speak very condescendingly about the Muncie police force when I visited Muncie a while back. Probably the same guy. If he's originally from Winchester,he's probably a product/result of incest.
Why do people always make the generalization that if you have a history of abusing animals that you're more likely to abuse something else in the future, like children or your wife?
Well I think it might be because there is a huge amount of data too support that conclusion. Just do a simple google search and you will see for yourself.
Why do people always make the connection between abusing animals and abusing kids or your spouse?Ummmm, BECAUSE THE CONNECTION EXISTS. You look at these gutless assholes and you see it time and again. They get their start on defenseless animals and then start lashing out at kids and adults who they percieve as weaker than themselves. It's a whole mindset. To the extent that trash like this have minds to be set in any particular way. I for one will not be at all sad to read about this gutless yellow bastard getting punked out from one end of prison to the other.
Why do women always wait until their abusive boyfried/husband is drunk before they tell them they are leaving them.? The poor kitten paid the price of a selfish stupid idiot. To bad the woman wasn't the one who got the boot. Smarten up people. Take your kids and pets to safety before you tell the abuser you are gone.
this just pisses me off. we take animals into our homes and domesticate them making them helpless and needing us. and there are so many people that would abuse a defenseless animal whose done absolutely nothing to them.
im glad hes being charged with felony animal cruelty hopefully this entails a lengthy jail term. i know michigan has strict laws animal cruelty and i am glad.
women wait to tell the guy because they dont want to do it when things seem alright. they wait until they have an excuse to do it. instead of being a grown up and telling that person they dont want to be together anymore. they wait until someone is hurt. and thats a cowardly thing to do. i am so sad for the kitten. when i yell at my cat i feel aweful. cause shes runs upstairs in terror. people are so retarded.
