Kansas City, Missouri (The Weekly Vice) -- Khaihilah Woodson, a 24 year old Kansas City, Missouri woman has been arrested and charged with multiple felony offenses after stripping off her clothes and then leading police on a high speed chase - all while her young children sat unrestrained in the back seat.
It all began Thursday evening when police received an anonymous report that a naked woman had been running around naked at her apartment complex near East 12th street and Woodson Ave. in Kansas City, Missouri.
When police arrived to investigate, the woman had put her two children into the backseat of her vehicle and sped away, leading police on a high speed chase that reached speeds of up to 100 mph.
Police say the 20 minute long pursuit ended near Red Bridge Rd. and Holmes, when authorities successfully brought the woman's car to a stop using spike strips to puncture the tires.When officers arrested Woodson, they detected an odor of PCP and found her 6 and 8 year old children seated unrestrained in the backseat. Officers described the children as "visibly shaken from fear," according to the arrest affidavit.
Police have now charged Woodson with felony endangering the welfare of a child, resisting arrest, operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license and driving under the influence.
This however was not Woodson's first brush with the law while allegedly under the influence of drugs or alcohol. In addition to being arrested on a prior DUI offense, Woodson was involved in a crash in April of 2007 while children were in her vehicle. Officers detected the odor of PCP in that incident as well. Charges in the April 2007 case are still pending.
