Jessica Brownlee Swain - South Carolina Substitute Teacher Rolls With The Homies

Ware Shoals, South Carolina (The Weekly Vice) -- Jessica Brownlee Swain, a 26 year old substitute teacher with the Ware Shoals - Greenwood County School District, has been arrested and charged with transferring beer or wine to a minor, after police crash a party allegedly involving several teens.

According to Ware Shoals police, officers responded to Swain's home on a tip that a party was in progress that could involve minors who were consuming alcohol. Officers stated that when they arrived at Swain's residence, they were unable to get anyone to answer the door.

Police say when the home's owner realized that officers had arrived, she and two other females fled the home and then called a male inside the residence, asking him to come pick them up. Two males left the residence and met Swain and the two females driving a red Toyota pickup.

Police later located the pickup and pulled the vehicle over. During the stop, officers identified that Swain and a 17-year-old who was also in the truck had been consuming alcohol and had both been at the party that took place at Swain's residence. When officers asked the teenager about her drinking, she told them that Swain had provided Peach Schnapps to her. The teen told officers that other people had also attended the party at Swain's residence.

Officers arrested Swain and booked her into the Abbeville County Detention Center on a charge of transferring beer or wine to a minor.

Ware Shoals Police Chief ,Mickey Boland, said that Swain was a "good girl who made a very, very bad choice."

The 17-year-old involved in the stop was cited for underage consumption of beer or wine and released into the custody of her parents.
