Holly Barnes Myspace - Says "It's all about her"
Powder Springs, Georgia (The Weekly Vice) -- Holly Michelle Barnes, a 24-year-old former teacher at Grace Baptist Church and Christian School in Powder Springs, Georgia has been arrested on accusations of having sex with a 14 year old boy.
According to the Paulding County Sheriff's office, Barnes was arrested and charged Tuesday with two counts of statutory rape and two counts of child molestation in connection to a sexual assault they believe occurred with a 14 year old boy.
A spokesperson for the sheriff's department did not reveal specific details about the case, but did say the incident appears to have taken place off school and church property. Authorities did not say whether the boy was a student at the school or a church member - only that he was affiliated with the church in some way.
Sgt. Brent Miller called the activities that occurred between Barnes and the teen "inappropriate sexual encounters."
A spokesperson for Grace Baptist reportedly said that Barnes had been employed as a teacher for just 3 days before her arrest - although we haven't confirmed that first-hand.
The Paulding County Sheriffs Office characterized the investigation as ongoing and asked that anyone else with information in the case contact the Sheriffs Office Crimes Against Children unit.

I knew Holly because I worked with her a few years ago. She is not a child preditor. She obviously has some personal issues for making such a bad, bad decision. She needs therapy more than jail. She was always a very sweet girl and would never hurt anyone. She must not have realized what this is going to do to the boy. She needs some mental health help. I do not think she is a danger to our society as long as she gets the professional help she needs. I would help her any way I can. I hope she understands one day what this boy is going to have to live with.
I have been on the boys side of this situation. I honestly can not believe, Jen, that you say all she needs is therapy. Seriously. What if this was your son/daughter? Would you say the adult in the situation just needed some therapy? Do you realize that more then half of the child molesters that receive therapy/jail time end up committing the crime again? So just because you know this woman means that she should be allowed to possible rape someone else's child. I mean, no matter what is going on in this woman's life to cause a lapse in judgement does not justify raping a child.

Now, onto how I feel about the situation. I haven't heard anything lately on it. I am wondering what became of the investagation. I think 14 is way too young. I hope she gets some therapy and this all moves on. BTW, why would a 14 year old do this either? Could he not say no?
Holly needs our prayers more than your vulgar comments. She made the mistake of a lifetime getting intimately involved with a minor and she will live with that for the rest of her life without the rest of us reminding her of it. What if tables were turned? How would you like to be treated? If God can give us a second chance on a daily basis than surely we can give her one. Think about yourself before you judge someone else.

Actually, the 14 year old child she assaulted needs prayers. Holly, on the other hand needs to be held accountable.
Forgetting to water the lawn is a mistake, having a sexual relationship with a kid is intentional.... and it appears she kept at it up until she was arrested.
Oh and for your information, the tables will NOT be turned. You won't catch me having sex with a child.

Noone FORCED anyone to do anything - give me a break!!! These pictures are way distorted and how the hell do you think you would look if you had been crying for days on end with the realization that you had messed up your entire life? None of you know what really happened and I doubt any of you know her for who she really is deep down inside. If you did - you'd be seeing things differently. She's more than paid for believing another human being's lies and allowing Satan to take control of her life - these mistakes that she made during these few weeks obviously wiped the slate clean in human eyes where she was more dedicated to God's service for over 8 years than I have ever been! Thankfully God does not turn his back on us so quickly.

The Judicial System found her culpable. Whether she is good or bad is irrelevant, because, what she has done is permanent. Many accused Catholic Priests have served the church for many, many years. Sick is sick. If a human acts like an animal out of control, for any amount of time, threatening the safety of other humans, there is the possibility of societal retribution. Righteous b.s. aside, "Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Kid, You Monster!!!"
