Lawrenceburg, Indiana (The Weekly Vice) -- David Munson, a 25 year old Lawrenceburg, Indiana man has been arrested and charged battery causing serious bodily injury after investigators say he burned a 4-year-old girl's hands and feet with matches as a form of punishment.
Indiana State Police arrested Munson on Monday after a two-week-long investigation that began when the Dearborn County Department of Child Services contacted them July 30 with allegations of abuse.
Authorities say Munson, who is the boyfriend of the girl's mother, used matches to burn the 4-year-old's hands and feet as punishment.
"As a means of punishment for misbehavior, the suspect allegedly burned the victim's hands and feet with matches," said a police statement issued on Tuesday.
Munson has been booked into the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center on one count of battery causing serious bodily injury.
