Ocean City, Maryland (The Weekly Vice) -- Barbara Waskey, a 43-year-old Rogersville, Tennessee woman has been arrested and charged with arson after allegedly torching husband's Harley Davidson motorcycle. Mug shot distributed to biker bar dart boards across the country.
According to Ocean City police, officers responded to a report of a fire Saturday night. When officers arrived on the scene, they found 40-year-old Joseph Waskey using a garden hose in an attempt to extinguish a fire that had engulfed his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Officers arriving on the scene used fire extinguishers to finally put the blaze out.
Deputy Fire Marshal Cliff Christello said the fire had been deliberately set. Investigators say Waskey's wife, Barbera Waskey set the fire by stuffing a towel into the motorcycle's gas tank and then lit the towel on fire. Police say Barbara Waskey originally left the scene after starting the fire, but later returned and spoke to investigators. Police also found the motorcycle's gas cap in Barbara Waskey's car.
Barbara Waskey was arrested and charged with second-degree arson, malicious burning and reckless endangerment. She was ordered held pending a $50,000 bond.
The Weekly Vice Opinion:
A man would have to have some pretty strong reasons to stay married to a woman who kicks him where it really hurts - torching his prized Harley Davidson. Judging by the mugshot, half of those potential reasons are immediately off the table. Nah, we're going to have to bump that number up to at least 2/3rds on account of the poodle hair and evil stare.

well.. let me just say. what if he had it coming to him. there could be more to the story. neglect just might be a little bit of it. theres obviously a reason for what she did. and id like to hear it. sucks to be the bike. but i mean come on its no different than taking his clothes and putting it on the front lawn and setting flame to it. (that makes people laugh) how come people are cringing about this one?

I'd like to torch my husband's boat and jet ski...I also put a curse on his fav football team a few years back...the TN Titans...the curse will remain until my demands are met!

If that's the case, then please point me in the direction of any documentation that show the husband was arrested for domestic violence. I'd be happy to share that point of view. Notwithstanding something that backs up those words, your comment is an opinion rather than a stated fact. I'd be happy to update if what you say has something to back it up.

barb waskey is a sweey college graduate and grandma who comes from a wonderful family like alot of women with low self of steam she got messed up with a real loser who has done hard time for theft and drugs like most we think we can change them sh is acousin of mine and has completley supporte him since te day he was released i think she just wanted to hurt him as bad as he had hurt her why do u think the cops were never called they were onlt there because they saw the fire he didnt want the cops anywhere near him my guess paroleviolation? is that why u keep her in maryland away from her sick mother and daughter and new grandchild slater

He probably belted her one to many times? She had to of had a good reason for doing what she did, it didn't make it right, but I bet she had fun doing it? But his Harley? That had to hurt.
Guess this post is better late than never! I just wanted everyone to know my side of the story. First, I want to say what I did was wrong and I did pay for what I did. My temper got so out of control I didn't remember any of it and still to this day only remember bits and pieces. Let me try to be as honest as possible. He did not beat/hit/give me a black eye this particular time. What you see is the remainder of my makeup. You achieve this look from crying and wiping your eyes and face. I do have naturally curly hair and being at the beach with the Maryland humidity had taken it's toll. I am the owner of the Harley and he is the co-owner, his credit wouldn't go through on his own so I got the bike. Laura knows what she is talking about in the above post...trust me she knows both of us. The ONLY two times I have been in trouble with the law have been in DIRECT relation to my husband. I was pushed to my limit that day and something just snapped. Ask anyone in Berlin, MD who is selling their "product" on the corner as to what was the probable explanation for my rage. You can also ask my soon to be ex what happened to $1,000 while I was waiting for him to post bail...by the way...it was from my mother's bank account...not mine, his, or ours! Why did I stay with him....because I love him and I made a promise the day we were married. We are still together for the moment. I have finally had enough heartache and things aren't changing. Just ask anyone in Knoxville, TN selling their "product" on the corner what is the probable explanation for my seeking a divorce and writing this post. Yes, I agree that marrying him was something I should have never done. Just remember hind site is 20/20. In conclusion, I was wrong for what I did and it should have never happened. I should have kicked him to the curb in 1992 when I met him or any of the thousand times since then. Update on the bike....there wasn't that much damage and it was repaired to new....wish I could say the same about myself.

And likewise, you have my apologies for the dig on your mugshot. If my DL is any indication of what a mugshot would look like, yikes. Hopefully no one has to suffer through it.
I hope you two can get things patched up. History is a hard thing to replace.
And by the way. It takes a lot of courage to come on this site and admit you did something you probably shouldn't have. My opinion has changed quite a bit. Thank you for setting the record straight.
