Springfield, Missouri (The Weekly Vice) -- Laura Kirkland, a 25 year old fifth-grade teacher at Christian Schools of Springfield, and area daycare worker has been arrested and charged with the rape and sodomy of an 11 year old boy who she says was 10 years old at the time.
According to police, Laura Kirkland repeatedly raped and sodomized the boy that she babysat over a two year period between July 12th, 2006 and July 12th, 2008.
During an interview at the Child Advocacy Center, the victim told authorities that he was "scared when she would do this to him," according to a probably cause affidavit filed by the Springfield Police Department.
Kirkland allegedly admitted to police that she performed oral sex on the child three times and had sexual intercourse twice when the boy was 10 years old.
Mark Rounsaville, pastor of Baptist Temple Church said Kirkland had worked as a fifth grade teacher at it's Christian school, but would not be returning this fall.
Jessica Holland, owner of Nurturing Place Day Care in Springfield, Missouri said Kirkland had been dismissed from her position at the daycare.
Kirkland has been incarcerated at the Greene County Jail and ordered held on a $75,000 bond. Kirkland's next court appearance is scheduled for August 26.

This woman appears to have been involved with kids in some way or another ever chance she could... for every job. what a scary though... having a teacher position is enough kids for one day, let alone day care or babysitting added on top of that. that's just too much.

She entered a guilty plea to second degree statutory sodomy in another unrelated case involving a 16 years old student at Springfield school. She will be sentenced in January.
