Las Cruces, New Mexico (The Weekly Vice) -- Annette Martinez, a 25 year old Las Cruces, New Mexico babysitter has been arrested after allegedly admitting that she sexually assaulted a 14 year old boy repeatedly. Told police she's in love with him.
Las Cruces authorities say Martinez was arrested on Tuesday and charged with one felony count of sexual penetration of a minor after she allegedly admitted to police she had sex with the 14-year-old about 40 times. The victim stated the number incidents was about 10 times.
According to the arrest affidavit, Martinez admitted to starting a relationship with the teen on July 8th after babysitting the boy and his two siblings for over a month. She also allegedly told police that she was in love with the boy and wanted to have his child. She also believed that the teen felt the same way about her.
Police first became aware of Martinez behavior when the teen got into an argument with his mother and left his home for Martinez' home. Afterwards during a conversation with the boy's mother, Martinez allegedly broke down crying, admitting to her that she had been having a relationship with the woman's son.
In a twist to the case, Martinez now claims that she may be pregnant as a result of the multiple sexual encounters she's had with the teen.
Martinez was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.

It never ceases to amaze me how many times we find these seemingly normal, fairly attractive women who probably ignore the attention of regular guys, but then trip all over themselves over a little kid. In a lot of these cases, we aren't referring to just a sexual encounter. It's this weird kind of giddy love thing that just defies all logic.
Would some female please explain what on earth could possibly be attractive about a 14 year old kid that would turn a grown woman into a lovesick hound dog who makes a complete fool of herself? The rest of us would really like to know.

I wish I could answer that question Danny. I think mostly it has to do with one person having power over another person - or perhaps the thrill of being someone's first and only true love?
I don't know. It's shameful either way.
She obviously didn't realize that telling mother about the relationship would land her in jail, which proves how devoid of reality she is. She should spend a lengthy time in jail - until she's old, wrinkly and undesirable for any 14 year old boy
There is no answer to that question. She's just a plain out pedophile who should be removed from society and encarcerated.

Well, the question is was there a victim? She wanted it; he wanted it. I bet the kid is a hero to all his friends. Holy Cheese, 40 times and only 14. Give him a medal and send her back in time to my middle school!

There is nothing about sex with a 14-year-old (i.e., post-puberty) that constitutes pedophilia. Screwed up, yes. Mental case, probably. But calling it pedophilia and thus equating it to sex with someone who is developmentally a child is wrong.

Even an image of a 14 year old or younger child is considered child pornography, although in your world, you might consider that age "ripe for the picking" I imagine.
And for your information, a 14 year old IS developmentally still someone's child. This is the problem with people like you. Always trying to turn kids into adults. Raping them, molesting them, sexualizing them.
Let's see, about as early as maybe 50 to 75 years ago, a female who was 18 and unmarried was considered an old maid. A male who was 14 started working and earning a living. Rockefeller started working at age 14, So let's see, have we de-evolved where now just because you are under 18 you are developmentally a child? Listen up, world...for all of human history, reproduction started whenever humans discovered sex, it happens, always will happen and will continue to happen. Stop being shocked at stories like these and get your heads out of the sand, sex is everywhere in our culture. Right or wrong, crazy or not, it is a fact of life. We just chose socially to define 18 as this magic age since we graduate from high school by then. high school, now THERE's a place that has sexually overchareged problems. What about two 14 yr olds having sex 40 times, is there anything wrong with that? hmmmm...silence, yes, I see...no charges to any 14 yr old for having sex with a 14 yr old. Well I can't help that pedophiles use that argument. Furthermore, the argument isn't useful to a person who, by definition, has pre-pubescent children as his/her preferred sexual object.

Children (those under 17 or 18) are rightly protected by law. That is the result of our current cultural attitudes and norms - and a position I happen to agree with.
I was simply pointing out that there is a big difference between being attracted to a prepubescent child and a teenager. The term pedophilia was being misused, that's all.
Atta Boy! I think this boy is lucky... He is ithrough puberty and what a catch.... Remember folks, it was not too long ago when puberty was the signal for marriage... Nature says when its time to reproduce, not you despite your desire to control and dominate over others.

In my opinion, no one should have sex until marraige. Its very hard to do, but I restrain myself. Abstinence is the best policy.Yes, sex is a physical urge, but all human urges should be controlled through self-discipline. Young kids are losing that though.
