Tulsa, Oklahoma (The Weekly Vice) -- William Lee Hunter Jr., a 41 year old former teacher at Springdale Elementary School in Tulsa, Oklahoma who was formerly convicted on child pornography charges has been arrested again on felony peeping tom charges.
Hunter, who resigned his teaching position in June 2007 following child pornography charges, has now been accused of using a video camera to record various bathroom activities of children while he was still employed at the school.
According to police, Hunter's activities were discovered when a current teacher at Springdale Elementary School attempted to utilize a video camera that had a tape inside. When the teacher checked the contents of the tape, she discovered that it had been used by Hunter to record unaware victims while they used the school restroom.
The recording, which is about an hour long, also showed hunter setting the camera up inside a vent that lead to the bathroom.
Police say the recording contained sounds of the various activities inside the restroom, however the video did not clearly show any specific child clearly enough to be identified. The contents of the video were reportedly recorded between August 2005 and June 2007.
On Hunter's prior conviction, he was caught downloading child pornography videos onto a public computer terminal at the Tulsa County Library. Despite his conviction, Hunter did not serve jail time. He was sentenced to four years in jail, however the entire sentence was suspended. Instead, Hunter paid a small fine and a $250 victim compensation assessment.
