Trenton, North Carolina (The Weekly Vice) -- Shebana Rajput, a 35 year old science teacher at Jones Senior High School in Trenton, North Carolina has been arrested on allegations that she had an ongoing sexual relationship with a 17 year old student..
Rajput was arrested on at her residence on Monday and charged with 8 counts of sexual activity with a student and one count of sex offense with a student.
According to police, Rajput engaged in an ongoing sexual relationship with a student who attended the same school Rajput is employed by. Police say there were nine separate incidence of sexual activity that occured at the teacher's home in Lenoir County between March and May of this year.
The Lenoir County Sheriff's first became aware of the alleged incidents when they were contacted by Jones County authorities on May 23rd.
Rajput was booked into the Lenoir County Jail where she is being held on $100,000 bond.
