Roan Mountain, Tennessee (The Weekly Vice) -- Patty Jo Singleton, a 36 year old former teacher’s aid at Cloudland High School in Roan Mountain, Tennessee has pleaded guilty to solicitation of a minor for an inappropriate telephone conversation with a 15-year-old male student.
Singleton was sentenced to two years probation, with the possibility of dismissal and her record will be cleared if she successfully complies with the terms of probation. She was also fined $50 and must pay court costs.
The charge stems from a telephone communication between Singleton and the student that was overheard by the boy’s aunt when he was sleeping over with his cousin.
The aunt recorded the telephone conversation on her answering machine and turned the tape over to the Carter County Sheriff’s Department.
