White Township, PA (The Weekly Vice) -- Gregory Strittmatter, a 49 year old softball coach at Indiana Area High School has been arrested on accusations of sending inappropriate text messages to a 15 year old girl on his team.
Police have arrested Strittmatter who has now been charged with having unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, harassment and stalking.
According to police, Strittmatter sent a series of text message to a 15 year old girl that were of "a sexual nature" over a two month period.
Police say that the messages started of in reference to team matters and then became more personal.
According to court documents, Strittmatter sent texts that stated the following:
• "I'm lying here in bed can't stop thinking of you. I need you"
• "I wish I could hold you now. I have to refrain from the ultimate passion with you, but I don't think I can."
• "I miss you. I need you. I wish you were here."
Police first became aware of the alleged activities when the the girl's father saw the suggestive text message on the student's cell phone and contacted authorities.
According to the arrest affitdavit, the teen's father spoke to Strittmatter's wife, who begged him to not report the incidents to police. The father also reportedly spoke to Strittmatter himself who allegedly admitted that he had a problem and needed help.
School officials say Strittmatter resigned his position of assistant varsity coach at the school. He was booked into jail, but then released on a $5,000 bond.

He sounds like a lovesick dog in heat. Why do these dumb ass teachers keep thinking they won't get caught? How smart to you have to be to realize the kid is going to tell someonebody something at some point. Hopefully he'll never work with kids again.

this is a very interesting and sad story but some of these comments are false. Yes these crude nature text massages should not have been sent by strittmatter. And yes there is proof of these messages. But what is not in this story is the facts of the 15 year old girl that goes by ****. Where another correct fact that can be found is in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and it states that strittmatters wife had gone to this girls father to tell him that greg was having an affair with this mans wife. She did this after seeing some of the text messages that stated "Oh my Greggy... I miss you." Or "I wish i could have everything with you". A little much for a girl that doesnt respond to these messages and tells her father that she is scared and then he files charges against strittmatter. Also no evidence has been charged agaisnt strittmatter for having any physical contact with this girl. I'm not standing up for this man but when you hear the whole story and listen to all the facts it showes that this girl was quite interested in this man. And although strittmatter is an adult and shouldn't have let the messages go this far, or text matter of this subject, and shouldn't have responded to messages of this nature he will be held responsible for his actions. it seems like this 15 year old found out that her father knew about these messages and got scared and blamed them on strittmatter. This probably been swept under the rug but because of this girl not taking responsibility of her actions strittmatter will be seen as a pedophile in his community by some. I beleive that after this court hearing is over and all the facts are brought forward this little girl will have to walk down the hall ways of her high school with the embarrasment of "Being the girl that tried to get with her 49 year old softball coach". If this is true its sad that a 15 year old girl that is too afraid to take responsibility for her actions is going to possibly ruin a mans life. Almost makes you wonder if the parents of this girl have much money and are trying to reach a money agreement. Lots of possibilities. I'm going to find as much information on this girl that goes by **** for everyone. Hopefully get more information on the text messages in themself. After an interview the fact about how the girl didnt respond is shit. I have seen these messages with my own eyes. She was also pushing the limit of the situation also.

Secondly, you can research all you want about this girl, but it won't do you any good here.
I couldn't care less what this teen did. I wouldn't care if she walked around him naked all day long.
He is an adult who was put in a position of trust. An adult has a legal, moral and ethical obligation to avoid this kind of discussion ENTIRELY when it concerns a 15 year old minor who is under his direction.
Teen girls have crushes all the time on older guys. This is not a ground-breaking revelation, nor is it relevant to this case.
Your argument is the SAME argument pedophiles use to justify their activities with children.

That's a twisted line of thought that will land your ass in jail too if you don't pull your head out of your ass. You don't fuck around with someone's kid.
Secondly, the child's father did not file charges in the case. Authorities filed the charges after conducting an investigation.
The only thing that will matter is if Strittmatter violated the law. Period. If he did, then he fucked himself over. No one did it for him.
If a 49 year old man can't control his lust for a 15 year old kid, then he deserves what's coming.
Everything else is just pathetic, twisted, pedostyle excuse making.

Very wisely and matter of factly put, Mr. Vice. Hopefully, Fiddlestyx98 will wise up a little. Possibly after he/she finds themselves the parent of a teenage girl! I came on to the manager at the Shoney's where I worked when I was 16. You know what he did? Nothing. And that's how it should be.
I had a crush on a boss once too. Tried damn hard to get his attention and finally succeeded.
Luckily my dad had the foresight to call the store GM and he was transferred.
What seemed at the time to be such a good idea, I now know was foolish, but girls at that age don't always realize what they're getting themselves into. I can say with certainty the girl is not usually looking for what the man is looking for.
Girls want the attention. Men want the sexual fantasy of being with sweet 16.
One of these is an innocent part of growing up, the other is simply breaking the law.

There ya go stupid. You posted this yourself. There is NO excuse. So stop defending the creep.
The bottom line is this, no matter if the 15-year-old was coming onto the coach, (which happens more than you think these days), the 49-year old man should be responsible enough NOT TO encourage her, and to put a stop to any advancements made. Since he didn't do that, he obviously has a little mental problems and is now a "MERV THE PERV".
It is well know around this college town that the 49 YO and his conjugal woman scorned, both condone an open marriage arrangement. Peyton Place in the Work Space is agreeable to each. Allegedly, she likes them older, approaching 69, and not illegally inclined. I guess the Coach missed the sign from the bench that would have warned him that the line in the sand is drawn at 18? It seems that this tempest in a "B" cup has covered the entire gamut of ages. But there are no fools, like the old fools".

I was once a distant member of this family & I can tell you from my own experience that this kind of behavior is very common for them. They really don't get it. That's the main reason I am no longer a "member"....
