Colorado Springs, Colorado (The Weekly Vice) -- Well here's one more case for the bleeding heart judges who pamper sexual predators with cushy short term jail sentences. Meet Gerald King. This limp biscuit pedophile used a computer at his Mommy's house to store thousands of child pornography images that had been distributed using library computers.
Gerald Michael King, a registered sex offender in Colorado Springs, Colorado has been arrested and charged with felony sexual exploitation of children, following a year long investigation by the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
According to police, King used library computers and email accounts to access and then distributed the material in an effort to conceal his identity. Police first became aware of the alleged activity after following up on a tip regarding the distribution of the illicit material.
"In fact, King h as been distributing thousands of child pornography photos," said Lt. Skip Arms with the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Agents arrested King at his Mommy's house on Wednesday. They also stated that additional arrests could be forthcoming since King was sharing the images with others.
Unsurprising to us at the Vice, King was arrested at a home that was right next to a ...... wait for it..... wait for it. Yes, you know it - a child day care center.
Police believe that some of the images King distributed were children from the Colorado Springs area, although they are not yet sure how King came into possession of them.
King was booked into the El Paso County Justice Center.

Nice work to the Colorado ICAC for scraping this pond scum off Mommy's driveway and returning him to jail, where he belongs.

this is super odd.... i know this dude, and now it all makes so much sense. he always wanted to hang out with me and my g/f, and quit talking to us when we didn't hang out with him.... this is kinda creepy.
I live in Colorado Springs and was kind of surprised to see this happen almost right in my own back yard. I agree Danny, the ICAC did a fantastic job pursuing this case. I would imagine his use of library computers and I assume generic emails like hotmail, likely made this a tough case to gather evidence on. They stuck with it and likely saved a kid from harms way.
Lets hope he's not dumped right back on the street in the same time it took to bring him down. It's obvious that he has a longterm problem.

I know this guy, as he's a client where I work. Suddenly, all his creepy behavior makes sense. He was constantly hitting on my coworker and I, probably because, even though we're in our mid-twenties, we both look like we're about sixteen.

Thanks Anon for sharing that. I never get time to hunt down the MySpace accounts of these rats. Most of them have a MySpace account which they use to develop contacts with children and teens.

I'm a Colorado Springs native myself (shhh. don't tell anyone) and know that area of Bonfoy.
There are families with young kids in and out of that area all the time. I'm convinced that there's more to this story that hasn't quite come out yet. Hopefully investigators will follow the case down to it's roots.
King is off the street, but the children are still unknown and being victimized. It's sad.
That "myspace" profile pic happens to be of him and his daughters - taken 3 years ago. Thankfully they realized how sick he was long before he was able to do any real damage to them - physically, mentally, or emotionally. They are ripped up by this - I mean, what kid wants to go thorugh life knowing that their father is a pedifle?
This man is very talented at making people believe what he wants them to believe and I am amazed that the ICAC finally was able to put him away... after all, they were warned about him 10 years ago.

I haven't even read what you all have said, but i want you to know a little of what i know about Gerald. He is a great man. It sickens and saddens me this has happened to him, but he made his choices. I love him dearly and my heart breaks for what this has done to his family and children. I love the entire family. Gerald has great characteristics, he has always had my back and kept a very good friendship with me even after my mother and him divorced. Let it be said, everyone deserves forgiveness... everyone makes mistakes. Even myself. Today Gerald is still very active in his music (piano) and Bible studies. To Gerald and all the Kings, I Love you all sooooo much, please stay strong.

This man is my father and i love him. he tore my family apart, and broke my heart, but he is my father and he is NOT a bad person. if any one of you can honestly say that you have never done something wrong in your life or made a mistake, then you can judge my father and my family. until then, back the fuck off. This is hard enough on my family without the help of dumb ass people making my father sound like a monster. Judging my dad makes you NO better than him. so fuck any of you that have something about it. I do not agree with anything that he has done. you think i don't know that he screwed up and that my life will never be normal? yeah,i get that, but thank all of you for making that painfully obvious. growing up without a father is not easy. going to the internet just to see his face, is not easy. but what is worse is when i have to read the nasty shit people say about him. what if this was you? think about that the next time you talk shit on a 16 year old's father. i love this man, no matter what he did and you should all feel ahamed of yourselves for how you treat him.

Hi,Andrea. I agree that while your dad chose to go down a very bad road, he is not a horrible person. I dated him briefly about 12 years ago or so (met you kids a couple of times and helped him move into that apt he had by Sam's club)I am glad to hear that you don't like the choices he made but he's your dad and you love him.
