Palm Bay, Fla. (The Weekly Vice) -- Adrienne LaFlamme, a 60 year old science teacher at the Brevard County Juvenile Detention Center in Sharpes, Florida has been arrested and charged with 15 counts of having unlawful sex with a minors.
Laflamme, a teacher with the Brevard Public School system, taught a 17-year-old student this summer and then began a sexual relationship with the teen a few days after his release from the center. Police say the relationship lasted about 4 weeks.
Investigators also believe that LaFlamme engaged in three-way sex with an additional boy who was 14 years of age.
The mother of the 17 year old victim told investigators that LaFlamme would pick her son up from their home and then take him back to her house to have sex.
Police also say LaFlamme allowed the teen to use her vehicle while she was on vacation. Then, when LaFlamme became aware that she was under investigation, she reported her vehicle stolen. Police also monitored a conversation between LaFlamme and the teen, in which she asked him to lie about their drug use, explaining to him that she could lose her job over it.
"This woman's actions are an absolute disgrace," Palm Bay detective Jasmine Campbell said. "We have reason to believe there are other victims and it's important that they come forward."
Adrienne LaFlamme has been formally charged with 15 counts of having unlawful sex with a minor and one count of filing a false report. She was arrested at her home on Wednesday and is currently being held on a $225,000 bond.
