Bal Harbour, FLA (ThaLunatic Daily) - Robin Small, 38, and her 20 year old son Darius Gory have been arrested after police say they shoplifted thousands of dollars in merchandise from a South Florida mall.
Parent and child crime sprees are nothing new. We report on one on a monthly basis. The trend however usually goes - Like father, like son. Sometimes we report on a mother/daughter crime duo. This however is the first time we've reported on a mother/son combo.
According to police, Small and Gory were apprehended about a block away from the mall after a store clerk says she saw them steal from her store.
When police apprehended the alleged theives, they confiscated over $10,000 in designer goods that included $350 sunglasses and $1,000 jeans nad rhinestone-studded fragrances.
Bal Harbor police detectives say the two both admitted to stealing the merchandise, however on camera, Small said she purchased the items. When investigators questioned the son about shoplifting, he only laughed.
Both Small and Gory have a record that goes back more than a decade, according to police.
