Plymouth Meeting, Pa. (The Weekly Vice) -- Michael Dolan, a 29 year old former swimming coach at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania has been arrested and charged with multiple counts including solicitation of a minor for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, promoting prostitution and other charges.
According to police, Dolan solicited sex from a 15 year old swim team member in exchange for money. They also say he sent the teen sexually elicit text messages. Dolan's text messages to the teen were recovered from her cell phone.
"The first message was sent on April 24 at 2:30 a.m. and messages continued for several days," said District Attorney, Risa Vetri Ferman, adding that the girl did not know who was sending them.
"This young lady started to receive text messages from him in the middle of the night -- actually, in the early-morning hours," said Ferman.
These excerpts are included in the recovered messages:
"would you (expletive) any guy you know for $200?"
"I will meet you at Miles Park with 200 bucks if you will."
"I am at Miles right now in a green shirt"
According to police, Dolan admitted to sending the text messages and knowing that the girl was a minor.
Police first became aware of Dolan's alleged behavior when the girl showed them to her parents, who then contacted police.
After his arraignment, Dolan was released after posting $75,000 bail to await a preliminary hearing next Wednesday.

Mike you are a disgrace
Please retract a mistake in this story. Michael Dolan was not a teacher at Plymouth Whitemarsh. He was a "seasonal coach" meaning he was hired for one season to coach swimming and do nothing more. He was in no way a teacher at the school nor was there any gaurantee that he'd return for the next swim season.
I identified him as the swimming coach of the school in the first paragraph however I've corrected an incorrect reference in another sentence. Thanks
Trying to pay a student for sex is getting pretty low on the food chain. And to think he was around girls in bathing suits often.
I just fell sorry for his fiancee (I know him in the real world). Hope they throw the book at him, it would be bad enough if he was just a random perv, but he was in a position of trust.
