Alex Phillips – Bone Head Teen Ignores Cops, Now Faces Child Porn Charges

La Crosse, Wis. (The Weekly Vice) -- Alex Phillips, a 17 year old Lacrosse resident has been arrested on felony child pornography charges after posting nude photos of a 16 year old girl on his MySpace page and refusing requests from authorities to remove it.

Authorities say, Phillips posted two sexually explicit photos of his ex-girlfriend on his MySpace page, along with derogatory captions for each photo. The photos showed a fully nude 16 year old female, that exposed her genitalia from the front and behind. One caption that accompanied the images read "Yo! this is [victim's name]. See how big her hole is, it's from me".

According to the arrest affidavit, Phillips refused to take down the images when approached by the Janesville Police Dept. After being advised that he could go to jail for displaying the images, Phillips retorted back to them " Fuck that, I'm keeping them up."

Police then alerted Lacrosse County detectives who viewed the images and began to investigate.

Investigators say the victim acknowledged sending Phillips the images several months ago via her cell phone, but stated that she did not give him permission to broadcast the images anywhere else. Police say she was deeply upset by the posting oh her photos.

Police interviewed Phillips who stated admitted to posting the photos. He also told police he posted the nude photos because he was "venting". He later told police that he probably shouldn't have done this.

Alex Phillips has been charged with possession of child pornography, sexual exploitation of a child and defamation. He was booked into the La Crosse County Jail on a $1,000 bond. His next hearing is scheduled for May, 28th, 2008.

The Weekly Vice Opinion:

Yo - there are some cases where the charges are WELL deserved, and this is one of them. With any luck, the only hole he'll be seeing for awhile will exist in a Wisconsin prison. You can view the full arrest warrant document at The Smoking Gun

It appears he was given an opportunity to avoid the charges...But chose to ignore the warning. Dumb. Those charges will follow him forever.
