Atlanta, Texas (The Weekly Vice) -- Melissa Kay Lee, a 32 year old English teacher at Atlanta High School in Atlanta, Texas has been arrested amid accusations of having an improper relationship with a student.
Lee, a resident of Maud, Texas was arrested after a warrant had been issued for her arrest. As a result, Lee has been charged with 2nd-degree sexual assault and 2nd-degree improper relationship between educator and student.
According to police, Lee engaged in a sexual relationship with a 16 year old student. Authorities became aware of the allegations when a report was made to the Atlanta police department.
Roger Haily, an Atlanta Independent School Superintendent said was unable to comment, as the matter is still being investigated.
Lee was booked into the Cass County Jail where she was ordered held on a $25,000 bond. She posted the bond and was released a short time later.
