Kathryn Anagnost - Former Principal And Teacher Busted For Throwing Alcoholic Party For Teens. Learning Her Lesson, She Throws A 2nd Alcoholic Party

Montour Falls, NY (The Weekly Vice) -- Kathryn Anagnost, a 40 year old former principal and teacher at Hanlon Elementary school and Groton Elementary school has been arrested a 2nd time for allegedly providing alcohol to minors.

According to police, Anagnost hosted an underaged drinking party at her residence over the weekend. She was arrested early Sunday morning after police were called to her residence to investigate a report of a possible assault.

The Schuyler County Sheriff's Department said Anagnost was charged with six counts of endangering the welfare of a child, six counts of unlawfully dealing with a child and second-degree criminal nuisance.

Police arrested several others at the party, including Jasmin Hescher, 20; Heather Horton, 20; Thomas Aldrich, 18; Katie Kuznezov, 16; Keith Jelliff Jr., 17; and Kristine Gardner, 20. The six youths were charged with unlawful possession of alcohol with intent to consume.

This is the second similar incident that has occurred in the last couple of weeks. She was also arrested on April 5 of this year after deputies say there was another underage drinking party in her home.

Agagnost was arraigned at Montour Falls Village Court Monday and ordered held on $1,000 bond at Yates County Jail.

The Weekly Vice Opinion:

Getting busted once for throwing a party like this is bad judgment. Getting busted TWICE in the same month is just plain idiotic. We almost hope she'll try it once more time just to ensure some jail time.

School is supposedly a place of learning.... So why don't these teachers and principals ever seem to learn for themselves?
