Merrimack, N.H. (The Weekly Vice) -- Marque Buckley, a 20 year old woman from Belmont, New Hampshire was arrested after committing a number of strange incidences that led up to climbing into firetruck and refusing to come out.
Now, Buckley faces multiple charges that police say began earlier in the day with an attempted robbery at a gas station. Police say Buckley took three packs of cigarettes from the convenience store and tried to leave without paying.
"As the suspect got into her vehicle, the clerk said she either had to return the cigarettes or pay for them," Police Sgt. Maureen Tessier said. "The woman refused, and the clerk actually reached for the cigarettes, and the suspect closed the door on her arm several times, trying to break the grip," she added.
According to police, Buckley then drove to a nearby fire station, claiming that her car had broken down. "While in the fire station, the female started to go through the station and actually entered onto one of the computers. She was asked to leave."
Buckley refused to leave, but instead climbed into a fire truck and attempted to start it. "She became upset and ran into one of the fire engines, attempting to start it," Capt. Peter Albert said. "One of the firemen jumped in and was able to get the keys and eventually called us."
Buckley now faces multiple charges, including a felony count of robbery. She is being held on a $15,000 bond.
