Omaha, NE (The Weekly Vice) -- Lisa Schuchard, a 25 year old Omaha resident was arrested and charged with felony child abuse after police visited her home and found drugs and a shotgun within reach of children.
Police say they found a shotgun next to the couch that the children were sitting on. They also discovered baggies, marijuana residue and a marijuana pipe on a coffee table. But what happened next amazed them most. Schuchard's 4 year old daughter demonstrated for police how to properly smoke pot, explaining to them that her mother had taught her how.
According to investigators, Schuchard and her live-in boyfriend Chris admitted to regularly smoking marijuana and the 4 year old told investigators that Schuchard regularly offered marijuana to her and her 2 year old brother.
Police became aware of the situation when Child Protective Services received a complaint that the 4-year-old and a 2-year-old son of Schuchard were dirty and living in a filthy home that had drug paraphernalia around. The children have now been placed with a foster family pending the investigation.
